How can I make one person in my family tree the same as another person on a different side?

There is someone on my family tree who is related to me on one side and I've already added him. He is also related to me through another side and instead of creating two profiles for him as Uncle on one side and Grandmother's brother on another, I want to link the two profiles but don't seem able to.

You will need to delete him in one of the spots. From the way you've described it, I think you have to delete him as your Uncle (I assume he married a sister of one of your parents). Then, when you add him back, by adding a partner to your aunt, choose "Partner with person already on tree". Choose him from the dropdown box and you should be good to go.
