can i add a password to a tree

It appears that current;y anyone can view the tree if they have the url link.   Is there a way to add a password to the trees I create.

There is no mechanism to add a password to a family tree. There is also no way to remove access to a family tree. Even deleting the tree will not remove access for the people with wholm you've shared a link. If you share links with editing rights, it's probably a good idea to maintain a backup ofyour GEDCOM file. You could use the Send Feedback link to sugggest adding more robust sharing options.
