can I separate part of tree and export that

There is not a great way to do that with Family Echo. You could export your tree as a GEDCOM file, import it as a new tree, then delete the people you don't want in that version the tree. There are probably better ways to do it though. If you search for "split GEDCOM file", you'll get some other options.
