How do I break off a branch and rename it? Starting a new family tree

I Want to make a separate family tree for my father's side of the family. I followed your directions. However, that just creates a new branch that you have to start from scratch. I have one tree named. But I want to break a branch off and name it something else. How would I do this, please?

Use the [Dpwnload /  export this family...] button at lower left of screen to download a GEDCOM or FamilyScript backup of your main tree.  Then when you create a new tree in the My Account section you will have the option to upload the file you created.  Choose an appropriate "me" person to complete the upload.  Delete the stuff from this new tree that you don't want.
