1. Have a .jpg or .jpeg or .png file on your computer and know where it is located (directory path).  Name doesn't matter.  The maximum size supported is 16MB
2. In your tree, select the person for whom you want to attach the photo.  For example John Smith.
3. At the top of the sidebar, click the button "Add photo for John" (it will use the actual name of the person you selected).
4. The button will be replaced by a box; click the button "Browse..."; this will open a new File Manager window.  Navigate to the directory containing your photo, then select the photo for that person.
5. Either double-click the photo file or click the "Open" button in the lower right corner; this will close the File Manager window.
6. Back in the box, click the "Upload" button to upload the file you just selected.

Your photo should now appear at the top of the sidebar.  You can also show the photo for each person by clicking the "Show" pulldown at the bottom of the tree and selecting "Show photos".

To replace a photo already associated with a person, simply click the photo at the top of the sidebar and follow steps 4-6.

To remove a photo already associated with a person, simply click the photo at the top of the sidebar and click the "None" button.
