How do you delete a person who has been placed mistakenly with the wrong parents?

I am going crazy!  If there is anyone out there in cyberland who can assit me with this issue I would appreciate any and all help.  I have tried to click on delete person but it does not solve the issue. I need HELP! (Before I pull out whats left of my hair!)

If you click on the person you want to delete then wipe out thier name birth details and any other info, then click ok.
