I accidently share a family tree with someone else

So I was looking at someone's family tree and I wondered what something called "Remember Family" or something was. I clicked on it and it added that family to my list of families, I didn't really mean to. I'm terrified of removing it from my list because I think it might erase the entire tree. I don't know what I should do ...

You can safely remove the family tree from your account without it having any effect on other users who can see that tree.
