Adoption or foster parents

My gt.grandmother and her 2 siblings were living with their mother in 1841 along with an elderly couple. By 1851 the mother had disappeared and it looks like this couple are looking after them.  In 1861 my gt. grandmother was 20 and described as daughter of this elderly couple. They must have been good people as three generations all kept the surname as their middle name. How do I add them as foster parents or adopters when they had known parents?

Right now that is not possible. Now what you could do would be in the bio secetion listed who their Adoptive and/ or Foster parents are.  You could also make two trees one for their Biological family and one for the adoptive or foster family. This is a question/ request that has been asked before. Family Echo said it is one of their highest requests and that they might evenutally add something that would allow one to list / show more then two parents. That said it is something they have been saying for probably close to a year now.
