Why cant I see the whole family tree?

For reasons of space, and to avoid lots of confusing overlapping lines, the tree will only display members of the family relevant to the currently selected person. You can change the number of people shown by altering the generation count at the bottom of the page.

I think it would be nice to be able to zoom out further and thus see more of a general picture. This would of course be at the expense of detail but if it were possible to mouse over/click on a person's icon and see that one name expanded, that could be very helpful.
I agree, and I believe this is a fairly common request. Perhaps Family Echo will implement it in the future.
