Question

When ever I click on certain people zoom in zoom out bar is not working. I am also not able to see the family tree from that person's view. How can I fix that?

Please check the Javascript Console in your browser's Developer Tools and let me know if you see an error there when you click the zoom button.

I am getting this error "Cannot read properties of undefined", but I am not sure if that applies specifically to the zoom bar or not. However, that error is showing up multiple times.

Thanks. So yes this appears to be a bug somewhere in the family layout code that is triggered by a specific situation in your family. To help us debug it, if you are willing, you could send us a view-only share link via the feedback form. Make sure you select "Current options" from the "Tree display" menu before creating the link, so we can reproduce your exact settings. We've added some more debugging information since you reported this, so if you look in the Javascript Console again, you may see some a line beginning "Family Echo JavaScript error" that you can send to us.

Apart from that, the most helpful thing would be to isolate the problem by finding the specific situation where it happens. You could check if it only occurs with: (a) certain 'Tree view' settings, or (b) states of the new 'Friends/Pets' checkbox, or (c) entities with particular characteristics or relationships. a) Problem not happening for "Partial", "Multiple", or "Classic", however, I am unable to see the complete tree after I click on Classic
b) The tree automatically switches to complete as soon as I unclick the 'Friends/Pets' checkbox
c) All the other check boxes are working
d) The problem only comes when the Friends/Pets check box is clicked

It is working now. However, when I click on a person, another person is shown on top of that person, and some of the lines are not fully connected.

OK, I understand. There is some bug that is being triggered by your particular family, but I need to first reproduce it in order to solve it. So we'll have to wait until another user reports this, who is willing to share their family. Sorry about that!
