How do I make two family trees side by side and be able to conect them?

Im trying to make 2 family trees or more side by side so that eventually I can conect them, but i cant do so without them being attached.

I don't think you can build them separately, but if they're connected via marriage, you can build one until you get to the person who connects to the other tree and then build out the other tree from their spouse
