How do i delete pets and it stops me being ex-partners with my Children?

Hi tonight I added pets on the new button I added me as the 1st owner without co owner then I added my children Eli and William as the 2nd owners then it made my tree have so many lines everywhere so I deleted it then it made me and my eldest son Eli ex partner with me and Eli ex partner with my youngest child William I tried multiple solutions didn't work could please give me a solution to solve this problem

Go to either yourself or Eli on the tree, select More actions... then Change partners, there should be a button that says "Remove ex-partner [name]" ([name] being replaced with ther other's name).
