I opened my grandpa's family tree and set him as "Me" even though I'm the owner of the account being the grandchild. how can I reassign the 'Me' to myself?

I wanted to change who "me", the home person, was on a family tree too at one point, but I couldn't find a way to do this, so instead I just changed the info of the person who the tree had as "me" to my own info then reconstructed the family tree around "me."

You have two options.

  1. Go to yourself select the invite button then create a link and copy said link. go to your account remove the tree, them past the link to open the tree and add the tree to your account.
This method will let you keep the edit history of the tree, but it will still say your grandfather founded the tree.
  2. Download the tree then reupload it to your account and select yourself when asked to choose yourself.
This method will not keep the edit history of the tree, but it will show yourself as the founder.
