Create a fictional family

How do I create a fictional family (for my novel manuscript) starting with the patriarch? All I can see when I enter Family Echo is Me as the start point and building back. I don't want Me in there at all, and I want to build forward.

Me is just what the software calls a person's home node, there's nothing stoping you from just puting the patriarch or whoever's info into it.
