How to copy your link and put it on a Google Doc?

You can use the Share link at the bottom of the tree to create a link that others can use to access your tree. just a couple of notes:

  • The links are personalized in that they automatically "center" on the person you have high lighted when you create the link. So you may want to create the sharable link for a specific ancestor. But you can not create a link for someone who is deceased, so you might have to make them alive for the purpose of creating the link.
  • Links can allow editing the tree or not. This is an option on the sharing screen. You probably don't want to allow editing for a link that you send to many people. If you do allow editing, remember to make a backup of your family tre first. Once you allow editing, you can never take away the ability to edit the tree, even if you delete the tree.
