Family Tree thinks I’m dead relative

Question

I put a dead relative first on the family tree, and it thinks I'm a dead relative for some reason. Can you switch a family member to be yourself? Thank you.

You need to edit your details then click 'this person is still alive'.

You can do this by:

1. exporting your family tree as a GEDCOM file
2. creating a new family tree from your account page
3. importing your GEDCOM file
4. as a last step it asks you who the main person should be

Note that photos are not exported with your GEDCOM file, and you'll have to reshare the tree with anyone else who has viewing or editing rights.
