I mistakenly added a person as a partner of another and am unable to undo.

Question

I have read so many suggestions as to how to fix this but nothing seems to work. They are still linked by a line.

Any proven way of doing this would be much appreiciated.

well you should delete the other person there parent or sibling and then the other peson that is not really married or siblings with them will be abble to show that you can go over and go to partners and remove them as one!
