How do I combine two HUGE family trees without re-entering them?

This question might have already been asked but I can't find it so here it is:

I have two (fictional) listed family trees with multiple families (since I couldn't figure out how to do this exact thing). It was fine until two people from either tree are now getting married and I can't use the "partner already in tree" function. Like I said, the families are huge and I don't feel like re entering ALL those people again. Is there a way to link the trees together by marriage without redoing all that work?

If there is only one person who overlaps in both trees, then you can merge them manually. Here's a previous post that explains how to do it. If you're not confortable doing that, there are programs that merge two GEDCOM files together. Here's an article from Family Tree Magazine that looks at a couple of them. It turns out that merging two family trees is a pretty common thing for people to want to do, and if you search on Google for "merging GEDCOM files", there are a lot of resources to look at.
