Help using the "Change or Delete" options or others that offer a choice of persons in your tree?

Question

I remain very frustrated by the command options in the title above.

More often than not the drop-down choice of others in your tree fails to copy the name you select into the box.

More often than not I do not understand why this has happened, and no explanation is offered.

I suspect that there may be good reasons for this, but they elude me in the cases I've tried to use this fearure.

I really need more information on this feature to effectively use it.

Is there any source of information available to assist me in its use?

I have not expereinced the problem you're describing. In my experience those just sort of work. You might want to try it on a different device and/or with a different browser and see if you get different results.

I've had this same problem on current versions of both Chrome and Edge on my Windows 11 PC.
BTW, I was able to merge who I needed to at Ancestry.com with no problem. I then brought Ancestry's GEDCOM file back here.
I'd prefer to do these kind of thing here rather than elsewhere.
Any sugggestions, anyone?
