All of a sudden the 'biographical', 'partner' and 'contact' features do not work??

Is there an upgrade required for the "Family Echo" program in order to have the 'biological, 'partner' and 'contact' feautres to work properly? When these items are checked the program goes to a "LOADING" message and nothing happens.
