I would love having the ability to change the individual color of each box instead of having the gendered colors. I think this would open up a lot of options including:
- avoiding normative gender expression
- grouping family branches by color
- highlighting the main characters if you're writing a story
- easily tracing specific genealogy, for example male-line descendants to see patrilineal inheritance
- organizing big family trees
My tree has 288 people on it right now and if you zoom out it's just a sea of blue pink and grey, but instead one branch could be yellow and one could be green so I could make sense of it without zooming back in.
It could work similarly to the titles feature.
