I have created a tree to try and keep track of a lot of names in a story. Many of the names are somewhat unusual, but originally they looked fine. I have typed them all in fine! But, some of the names now show weirdly (and incorrectly) on the family tree. As an example, I have "Brandir". It is showing up as "Brandish". BUT, when I go in to edit it, it says "add image for Brandir", "edit details for Brandir", etc. Clearly, the tree knows it should instead read "Brandir". But it is stubbornly insisting on not calling it this individual "Brandir". Instead, when I look on the tree it says "Brandish". How can I fix that?

That is very strange, and it never occured to me though my main project here is a massive historical family tree with a lot of strange/unusual/very foreign names - the only thing the website ever changed was stupid auto-capitalization. I don't suppose that "Brandish" is a surname and you accidentally only checked to display them via the "Options" menu?

The only solution I can propose is maybe switching browsers or opening your family tree on another device? Maybe the problem is not on this website's end?

If it persists, maybe send a message to familyecho.com via "Send Feedback"?
