if you make two people friends (like if I add a familyfriend, and the friend's status is "friend"), and go into the settings menu and turn off the "show friends/pets" you ofc won't see the friend anymore. if you then choose the familyfriend, that's the only person you'll see. you can add their entire family, making a 'family tree within another tree', so the two exist parallel with each other. you won't see your own family tree and the friend's tree at the same time. if you turn on the ''show friends/pets'' you'll see both trees at the same time (often in an intertwined mess). if you figure out how to make two completely separate trees within the same tree, or whatever your OG question meant, i'd love to know the answer. btw the ''show friends/pets'' button only seems to shows up in Settings if your tree view is set to ''complete''.
