I would like to enter approximate dates of birth /death for grandparents where these are not know exactly ieg "ca 1886"

Can this be entered in the dates fields and if so, how?

I don’t think this is an option right now. The Year box only allows for four numeral characters to be entered. I think it’s a good idea and maybe they could add it in the future because sometimes one may only have an approximate date/year of something.
